Aggie Inclusion Day will focus on (1) diversity, (2) need based scholarships and (3) first-generation students. Many of the benefits of Diversity Day will be included in Aggie Inclusion Day. However, we are able to expand the awarding of need based scholarships to students who have financial need. This fall, USU will be able to offer 10X the amount of need based scholarships compared to previous years. Traditionally, need based scholarships are determined by FAFSA and EFC data. But at Aggie Inclusion Day, students will be considered for these scholarships based upon unmet financial need (not strictly EFC). At Aggie Inclusion Day, we’re able to offer need based scholarships based upon total unmet need (including cost of living, books, tuition, fees, etc). The selection process is not strictly based upon pell grant eligibility. For this reason, all seniors coming to the event are strongly encouraged to submit their FAFSA by April 13th. USU will then look at their financial aid package to determine what the student’s financial need is. And if eligible, the student will receive their scholarship at the event.
Aggie Inclusion Day registration: https://www.usu.edu/admissions/events/diversity ($15 cost per student) FAFSA: https://fafsa.ed.gov/ Registration closes on April 13. Students unable to attend Aggie Inclusion Day that would like to be considered for need based scholarships, should submit their FAFSA by May 1st. Thinking about pursuing a career as a teacher in Utah? Check out the attachment for information and an application to have your tuition and fees paid for! The application deadline will be extended to March 9th, and if the application is post marked by Monday March 5th, it will be considered.
