CAREER PATHWAYS
1, 2, 4 or more
Different paths lead to different careers--you knew that. But do you know what those paths are? We call those paths 1, 2, 4 or more, and here's why:
Some careers require a ONE YEAR path--a path that leads you to a certificate that takes roughly 1 year to earn.
Some careers require a TWO YEAR path--a path that leads you to an associate's or technical degree that takes roughly 2 years to earn.
Some careers require a FOUR YEAR path--a path that leads you to a bachelor's degree that takes roughly 4 years to earn.
And some careers require even MORE--paths that lead you to master's and professional degrees (even Ph.D.s!) that take 6 or more years to earn.
YOU CONTROL THE PATH YOU'RE ON--SO IT'S IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHICH CAREERS REQUIRE WHICH PATH. I mean, you'd hate to think you were on the path to Hawaii and end up in Alaska, amiright??
You can start traveling your path during high school. Both Cyprus and the Granite Technical Institute (GTI) offer classes that can help you meet pathway requirements!
