The Utah PTA believes that all students have the right to an education at a public school. A student who desires to further their education in an institute of higher learning or technical school following their graduation should have the opportunity to do so. The Utah PTA/PTSA Student Scholarship is giving $1,000 scholarships to three (3) Utah high school seniors.

Must be a US citizen of Italian descent. Submit an official transcript, test scores, resume, letters of recommendation, essay and $30.00 processing fee (includes a one year National at-Large membership to the Order Sons of Italy in American and a subscription to Italian America magazine.) 10 to 13 awards ranging from $5000 to $25,000.
Create a poster that includes the words, “You Can Make a Difference” and illustrate the idea that one person can change the world for the better. Judged on overall impact, effectiveness in conveying the theme, originality and artistic merit.1@ $1000; 1@ $500; 1@ $250; 5 @$100.
Parents and/or legal guardians of the students applying must have, or had, a career in the financial services industry. Selection criteria: academic record and min. GPA 3.5; high school activities and demonstrated leadership; ACT score; responses to questions on the application form; demonstrated financial need. Awards depend on financial need. US citizen, legal resident.

The Costa Rican Vacations scholarship program recognizes and rewards innovation and ideas within the areas of tourism studies and sustainable tourism. Every year Costa Rican Vacations will award two scholarships of $1,000 each to students who are interested in pursuing their studies and their career in tourism, hospitality, or sustainable development. Scholarships are not renewable; however, a recipient may re-apply. GPA 2.8.
