The contest is open to all college-bound high school seniors who are Utah residents. The essay must be entitled, “What would you propose to substantially reduce the incidence of gun violence in the United States and around the world without taking away the legal rights of law-abiding citizens to acquire and possess firearms?” Four college scholarships- 1st place: $5000, 2nd place: $3000, 3rd place: $2000, 4th place: $1000. Applicants must have lost a parent/guardian to breast cancer OR must be a breast cancer survivor; attend a state-supported school in the state where they permanently reside; have a minimum 2.8 GPA. Based on financial need, community involvement, essay content, letters of reference and academic achievements or records. Must complete a minimum of 20 hours of community service per semester. $10,000 a year for up to four years. The LendEDU Scholarship is a $2,500 scholarship award. It can be used to cover any and all costs related to your education. The LendEDU Scholarship can be used to cover tuition, textbooks, room and board, and even living expenses. The LendEDU Scholarship will be awarded to 2 students each fall and spring. U.S. Citizen.
