You must be 16 years of age or older. You must either be enrolled now, or will be enrolled in a qualified high school, college or university within the United States.
For college bound high school seniors who have demonstrated a strong commitment to civil liberties through some form of activism. Two winners will receive $1,500 applied toward their college tuition. They will also be featured in a short professional video as well as honored at our annual Bill of Rights Celebration.
Past ACLU of Utah scholarship winners came from many parts of Utah including Brigham City, Herriman, Kearns, Logan, Moab, Nephi, Ogden, Orem, Provo, Salt Lake City, St. George and Taylorsville. Their civil liberties work includes programs and activities that advocate for racial diversity, rights of disabled students, equality for all, freedom of religion, and freedom of expression.

C-SPAN StudentCam is a documentary competition encouraging students to think seriously about issues that affect our communities and our nation. 2017 competition theme, "Your Message To Washington: What is the most urgent issue for the new president and Congress to address in 2017?" 48 @ $250; 8 @ $750; 4 @ $1500; 2 @ $3000; 1 @ $5000.
$10,000 Scholarship Essay Contest.
The National Organization for Women Foundation hosts an annual poster contest to celebrate the Love Your Body Campaign. The winning posters are featured on the website and used to promote Love Your Body events.
For children of people with MS or students who have MS. Based on: financial need, academics, leadership,nparticipation in school or community, work experience, statement of educational career goals, outsidenappraisal, unusual personal or family circumstances, essay on the impact of MS on their life. Must be a USncitizen. $1000 – $3000 (Last year 646 scholarships were awarded.) Application must be completed online. For students planning careers in government service, for study at the college of the recipient’s choice. Write a one-page essay, not to exceed 300 words, stating why the applicant is planning a career in government service. Include any inspiration to be derived from the leadership of George Washington in his famous crossing of the Delaware. From $500 – $5000. US citizen.
