Here is a wonderful paid summer research opportunity available to students interested in cancer research and careers in the health sciences:
The PathMaker program prepares students for careers in research, medicine, and academia by sponsoring them for 10-weeks during the summer where they will receive training and intense research experience in a university laboratory setting. Here’s what you need to know:
Students selected for the PathMaker program will go through a one-week intensive laboratory training course prior to being thrown into their respective labs as for many students this will be their first interaction with basic bench-work research techniques. PathMaker scholars will be provided on-campus housing and meal plan for the duration of the program at the University of Utah as well a $2600 stipend for their research. The application for PathMaker is now open, but will close March 5th. Here is the link to the website and application: (http://uofuhealth.utah.edu/huntsman/research-areas/cancer-health-equity/programs/pathmaker/) For further questions and information, please contact: Samira Gholami Project Coordinator, PathMaker Program Huntsman Cancer Institute 801-583-6211 | [email protected] Tuesday 3:30-6:00 Friday 1:00-5:00 Comments are closed.
